When copying your portfolio, should I copy open trades?

Yes – if you wish to match the performance of the portfolio, you’ll need to copy all open trades.

If you only copy new trades, you’ll end up with a large amount of cash that may take a long time to become invested. This is because the majority of the positions are intended to be held for the long term.

What is the minimum amount I should invest?

eToro allows you to copy people with a minimum initial investment of $200. Please be aware that the minimum amount for a copied trade is $1 – trades below this amount will not be opened. This means that if you’re investing the minimum amount and there are any positions with an allocation of less than 0.5%, these will not be copied.

I would suggest starting with a minimum of $500, so that all open positions can be copied, and the portfolio fully mirrored.

What is your investment strategy?

You can find a summary of the investment strategy here.

What is the minimum investment timeframe for your strategy?

Ideally, you'll be looking to invest for years rather than months. This matches my strategy of looking for long-term growth. If you want to withdraw the money within a few months, then this strategy probably isn't suitable for you.
